Of all the full production Austin-Healey models the Mk.III 3000 model is by far the most desirable today. Not only is it faster, it is also more refined, better equipped and the most comfortable. It remains a very sporting and enjoyable car to drive with a successful competition history to boot. The Austin-Healey 3000's fared very well in races, particularly hill climbs, and in 1964 won the Liege-Rome-Liege run and the Austrian Alpine Rally.

The Austin-Healey presented here is a very special car indeed, and certainly one of the finest we have ever had the pleasure of offering. It has just finished a complete nut-and-bolt restoration by the marque experts at Healey Lane. Their attention to detail is impeccable.

When the car came to Healey Lane, it arrived in exceptional condition, as evidenced by an 80-page photographic record of the restoration, which shows the car, as it arrived on day-one. Thereafter, everything on this car was rebuilt and, it should be noted that at least 90 percent of the hardware was refurbished and restored - a testament to the quality of this car. Not only
has such attention to detail preserved the car's originality but it has also allowed Healey Lane to avoid utilizing inferior reproduction pieces from overseas.

From the engine to the transmission and through to the differential, all numbers match on this car. Perhaps most importantly, it is finished in a very unique color, Irish Mist Green metallic. Only two prototype Healeys were ever painted in this color (whereabouts unknown) before BMC told Donald Healey that such a color was simply too expensive to reproduce. Healey Lane
elected to paint chassis no. HBJ8L25938 Irish Mist Green and the result is simply stunning, beautifully contrasting the Parchment interior.

With its nut and bolt restoration by marque experts, this car is sure to be a very serious contender at any Austin-Healey event. And its lovely shade of light green is sure to draw away attention from the scores of standard 3000s in the Healey community.
